Guitar Skank
Also known as “Guitar chop”, the guitar skank is an important part of reggae and dub music. Due to its playing technique, this particular guitar sound is often hard to get with plugins, even some of the modern ones. If you don’t play guitar, it’s likely you’ll never really acheive to get this sound right… and if you do play guitar, it’s always nice to have an instrument to quickly lay out your ideas. That’s why I created Le Skank.

Le Skank features all the tools and options you’ll need to create and play great guitar tones. Begin by selecting the guitar pickup of your choice, the overall tone of the amp and cab, and tweak the sound with the filter and the included effects. No other plugin needed.

Despite the number of available options, you can still acheive an great tone by just tweaking a few controls, plus you can benefit from the preset collection. The instrument is packed with 50 factory presets to get you started.

The Guitar
Where it all began. Choose one of the two guitar pickups : single coils or Humbuckers, and select the position : Neck, Middle, Bridge.
Tweak the envelope knobs to shape your sound. From a short and snappy chord to a long and smooth one.
FILTER & MOD.
Filter & Modulation
Use the filter section to create movement along your track. 10 filter types are available, 1 envelope and 1 LFO to get an ever-changing skank.
AMP & CAB
Amp & Cab
Like on real life, you have acces to the basic controls of the guitar amp, plus you get to choose the cab you want, between 12 carefully designed cab IRs, and tweak the distance and width of the cab mics.
KEYSWITCHES
The Keyswitches System
The keyswitch system is really simple : 1 key to change from Major to Minor chords, 2 keys to switch between rhythm patterns, 2 keys to send the audio to the delay and reverb. And everything can be played live !
EFFECTS
Effects Rack
You have acces to a full FX rack, including a transient master to give your chords even more bite, the classics Chorus and Phaser effects for modulation, an Eq, a delay of course and a convolution reverb which includes +20 reverb IR samples.
